C. Ringkasan materi (Materials summary)
1. Pronoun (kata ganti)
Pronoun atau
kata ganti adalah kata yang dapat menggantikan suatu kata benda atau frasa kata
benda. Kata ganti berfungsi menghindari pengulangan kata benda atau frasa kata
benda yang sama yang telah disebutkan sebelumnya. Dalam bahasa Inggris pronoun
terdiri dari reflexive pronoun, possessive pronoun, personal
pronoun, interrogative pronoun

Pronoun (Kata ganti diri)
Personal Pronoun merupakan
kata ganti untuk orang, hewan, benda atau hal spesifik. Pronoun ini tergantung
pada case
(subjective,
objective,
atau possessive),
number
(singular/plural), person (1st, 2nd, 3rd) dan gender
(male, female atau neutral) dari noun
(kata benda) yang digantikan.

Simple
Present Tense (Waktu sekarang)
Dalam menyusun kalimat
bahasa Inggris, kita tentunya menggunakan unsur kebahasaan yang sesuai agar
kalimat mengandung makna yang dapat dipahami. Selain itu juga kita menggunakan tenses
yang sesuai. Apa itu tenses? Tense adalah perubahan
kata kerja sesuai waktu penggunaan. Salah
satu tense
yang akan dipelajari pada pertemuan ini adalah simple present tense.
Simple Present Tense
adalah bentuk tense yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan sesuatu yang terjadi
saat ini (present). Apa itu Tense?
Tense adalah penggunaan kata
kerja (verb) sesuai waktu penggunaanya. Maka Simple Present tense selalu
menggunakan kata kerja bentuk pertama (Verb1/V1) dalam susunan kalimatnya. Maka secara sederhana Simple Present Tense adalah
suatu bentuk kata kerja untuk menyatakan fakta atau kebenaran umum (general
truth), kebiasaan ( (habitual action) atau kejadian yang
terjadi saat ini.

Note: Jika
subyek kalimat orang ke-3 tunggal maka ketika membuat kalimat negative dan
kalimat tanya sesudah menambahkan Does maka V1 yang ditambahkan –s/es kembali ke bentuk semula/bentuk
dasar (infinitive).

Kalimat
Verbal yaitu kalimat yang mengandung kata kerja (verb)
atau kalimat yang predikatnya adalah kata kerja (verb) dan untuk membuat
kalimat negative (menyangkal) atau kalimat Tanya (interrogative) maka
membutuhkan kata kerja bantu (auxiliary Do/Does). Apa bila subjek
orang ke 3 tunggal (Third person of
singular/3rd ) maka kata kerja pertama (V1) ditambahkan -s/es. Jika kata kerja berakhiran dengan
huruf (o, ch, sh, s, x,) maka ditambahkan –es
jika tidak diakhiri dengan huruf ini hanya ditambah – s.
Pattern:
